Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I thought I’d write a post thats themed around it. You want to give your significant other an awesome gift but maybe you don’t know exactly what to get him/her or you just don’t have much money to spend. Truthfully, if you really want someone to know how much you love them, you don’t even need to spend much money at all.
The other day, I was thinking of writing a “Valentine’s Day Gift Idea For Him” article so I asked my husband what he thought would be the perfect Valentine’s gift for a man. He responded with something very simple but often overlooked: quality time! Quality time; that’s all it takes to show someone you love them. Life gets so busy that we tend to take the simple things for granted. So, this Valentine’s Day, take some time out of your day to spend with your significant other. Really spend the time with them. Have deep conversations, laugh together and do things that you both enjoy. Of course, make it a point to do this regularly and not just on V-Day (but I didn’t have to remind you, right?)!
Here are some more ways to say I Love You without having to spend much $$:
- BAKE! C’mon, Valentine’s day is all about the sweets but nothing beats something that’s baked at home and made with love. My husband loves cookies and he especially loves homemade ones. I don’t usually have time to bake in the kitchen but when I do, you know it’s a real treat! lol
- COOK! Okay ladies, you know the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. What man wouldn’t love their wife/girlfriend to cook a special meal for them? And if you’re a man reading this, I guarantee that any girl would love for a man to cook for them as well. Take this day to make your significant other’s favorite meal. Make it feel special with candles. Just enjoy the moment together and let the conversations flow – no TV (of course)!
- WRITE A POEM. My husband would always write me little poems in my cards and I loved them! Just be yourself and say how you feel <3
So, there are just a few easy ways to say “I love you” this Valentine’s. To sum it all up, just make something! Be creative. You don’t always have to go to the store and spend tons of money. As long as it’s coming from your heart and you put thought into it, that’s all that counts. My husband really enjoys drawing and he would always draw me something and present it to me in a special way. I love and cherish each one! It’s really the little things that can add up to a lot. Hope you all enjoy this. Let me know what your plans for V-Day are!
Until next time!
