If anyone knows me, they’ll know that I. Love. Pizza!! I can literally eat pizza for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I love having leftover pizza that I can sneak as a midnight snack or brunch the next day! My husband and I usually order pizza from Dominos because they deliver and they have that “pick two for $5.99” deal that we love. The other day we were craving pizza but didn’t feel like ordering Dominos that day because they’re pizza can be a bit heavy and we just weren’t feeling it (surprisingly). We decided to make our own pizza at home and they were so good! Now, it probably wasn’t the “healthiest” but it was definitely better than a Dominos pizza and cheese sticks (which we usually get too) and just the fact that it was made fresh at home made it all the more delicious.
These are personal sized flatbread pizzas made with white Alfredo sauce which my husband and I love! It is topped with Tysons ready-made grilled chicken strips so it’s easy for a quick weekday lunch or dinner. I also love veggies on mine so I layered it with fresh sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced onions and a handful of spinach. Everything is already cooked so all you need to do is pop it into the oven until the cheese is melted or a little longer if you like a crispier crust!
I’ll leave my recipe below but obviously you can just use this as a guide because the whole fun in personal sized pizzas is that you can put whatever you want on it because it’s ALL yours!
1 Flatbread (I used the garlic flavored)
2 Tbsp Newman’s Own Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce
1 Roma Tomato, sliced
1/4 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 Cup Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Strips, cut into cubes
1/8 Onion, thinly sliced
Handful of Fresh Spinach
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. For a crispier crust, place the flatbread in the oven for about 5 minutes before proceeding with the toppings. After the flatbread has warmed in the oven, remove and spoon the Alfredo sauce evenly over the bread. Sprinkle an even layer of mozzarella cheese. Place about 4-5 slices of tomato (depending on how big the slices are) then a light layer of onions. Add the chicken then take a handful of fresh spinach and roughly chop them into smaller pieces and sprinkle over the flatbread. This is optional, but you can also sprinkle another light layer of cheese over the finished product. Place into the oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted. For a crispier crust, leave the pizza in for an additional 5 minutes. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Let me know if you try it!
Until next time,
